Welcome to the web home of the Four State QRP Group, devoted to low power (QRP) amateur radio building and operation.
Four State QRP Group News:
OzarkCon 2009
OzarkCon 2009 was a huge success! We wish to thank everyone who attended for your participation and hope you enjoyed the weekend. We had excellent presentations by some of the top names in QRP and homebrew. Also, thank you to the many vendors who brought their wares for us to examine and purchase.
The Midwest Home Brewers and QRP Group conducted the Friday night kit-building workshop which went extremely well. We appreciate your help with this event!
A special thank you goes to Doug Hendricks for the super special musical show on Saturday night. That really was a load of fun!
The tentative date for OzarkCon 2010 is April 9 and 10, 2010 at the same location in Branson, Missouri. As soon as it is confirmed, it will be announced here on this site.
Special notice about the 4SQRP HF Test Set kit: We are pre-selling now for a possible production run of this kit, however if there are insufficient orders received by May 30th, we will return all uncashed checks and cancel the project. Note that the cut-off date has been extended to include the Dayton hamfest weekend.
Check the test set kit page for details.

June meeting - We will meet on June 20 at Barney's Kitchen in Seneca, MO. Lunch is at 11:00 AM. Come and join the fun! Click here for driving directions to Barney's.
QRPSPOTS.COM - The place to be when on the air. Spot yourself and/or see where the QRP activity is.
Two New kits from 4SQRP - We are pleased to offer two new kits to the QRP community. First is the Enhanced Manhattan Islander Audio Amplifier. This kit has been doubly enhanced. K8IQY has improved his original design, and K3PEG has incorporated his great Enhanced Manhattan © construction technique into the assembly instructions. The second is the Four State Dummy Load SMD Starter Kit which is an inexpensive means of learning to solder SMD components. You will end up with a functional dummy load complete with an RF sensor to measure your transmitter output power.
The NS-40 is still available as well. This is an innovative and easy to build Class E 40 meter transmitter. 'NS' stands for None Simpler, and there is a reason for that! There are only 13 total parts, and NO TOROIDS, NO COILS of any kind to wind - NONE! It is an upgraded version of the overall winner in the FDIM 2008 Homebrew Contest. Designed by David Cripe, NMØS, it is a truly unique QRP transmitter design.About 4SQRP: Our group is an informal organization with no officers, no rules, no dues or any other things to get in the way of having fun with QRP. All ham radio amateurs (or prospective hams) are invited to participate.
Meetings: We get-together monthly for lunch and the sharing of ideas and information, parts swapping and just plain fun. The next meeting will be at Barney's Kitchen on Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 AM. Barney's is located at the southern end of the Seneca Missouri business district. Click here for driving directions to Barney's.
Come and join us for lunch. If you can, bring a QRP rig, a building project, a QRP magazine, QSL cards, or whatever to share with the group. We would love to see what you are doing with QRP and homebrew. After lunch, if the weather is cooperative, we often adjourn to the local city park for some on-the-air operation.
E-Mail Reflector: We have a E-Mail reflector to help exchange information and news. All QRP'ers and homebrewers are invited to participate. Information on the 4SQRP reflector is available here: E-Mail Reflector
