Introducing the 4SQRP Mentho-Morse Hearkening back to a previous generation of QRPers, the Mentho-Morse is a simple, easy to use capacitive touch keyer, designed to use an Altoids (TM) tin as an enclosure! Morse dots and dashes are formed by lightly touching sensor pads on the upper board of the keyer, and an iambic keyer circuit inside does the rest. The kit is built so the lid of the Altoids tin closes over the electronics when not in use, completely shielding and protecting it from the elements. Utilizing only a handful of components, the Mentho-Morse assembles in less than an hour, and is a useful addition to your portable QRP station. This is a simple kit, suitable for builders of any skill level. |
