We had a fine meeting today at Barney's in Seneca. First time member John, K5JJ came up from Claremore, Oklahoma for lunch. Welcome aboard John!

Max, KCØMAX brought his new antenna tuner for show and tell. It is an Altoids Longwire Antenna Tuner available from Hendricks QRP Kits. Max did a very nice construction job and reports that it works quite well with a 51 foot end fed wire.

Jay, KØETC showed us a homebrew 1.5 GHz turnstyle antenna for the GPS band. It is very similar to some NVIS antennas for the HF band, but much smaller. Sorry, but Jay left before we got the camera out.

We got to see Joe, WØMQY's new screwdriver mobile antenna. He has it mounted on his van and reports that it really works slick! He can remotely adjust the antenna from the driver's seat for easy band changing.

Today's discusion topics were antennas, GPS geochaching, GPS accuracy, astronomy, mobile antennas and OzarkCon. Also, we talked about the upcoming Ham-Out 2005 to be held next month. Oh yes, we did talk about QRP!
