Today we had 14 QRP'ers at the Redings Mill Inn for lunch and to share the latest QRP and home-building news. N2UHC and KØETC had a couple of neat projects for show-and-tell. WØMQY set up his portable Sierra station, complete with an indoor antenna.

The pictures below are "clickable" to view a larger image file.

Tom, N2UHC is programing his new 30 meter QRPp beacon while Joe WØMQY listens on his Sierra. Click here for info about Tom's beacon on the web.

Here is a closeup view of N2UHC's 30 meter beacon transmitter. Tom is using a NorCal keyer to control the homebrew transmitter. The beacon runs 100 mw of output power from a 2N4124 transistor.

The meeting room at the Redings Mill Inn is filled with QRP'ers today. Gene NØMQ is on the front right checking out the lunch menu.

Joe WØMQY is standing. Seated are (from left to right) Bart N5WL, Jay KØETC, John WØJRP, and Jerry NØJRN.

This strange looking device is KØETC's surface mount soldering aid. The bearing blocks and shaft keep the iron in alignment for soldering tiny parts.

Next month we will be back to the Redings Mill Inn. See you there!
