This well designed transmitter is a companion to K8IQY's highly regarded SS-40 receiver. It is designed to be placed above the SS-40 board as depicted in this picture of the prototype. It outputs up to 9 watts and uses a hefty, cool running MOSFET as a final. First time builders please note: This kit is not difficult to build. All parts are through hole lead parts.

RF Output: Adjustable up to 9 Watts
Voltage Required: 10-15 volts DC; 12-13.8 volts recommended
Current Required: ~ 900 milliamperes
Harmonics: ~55 dB below carrier; exceeds all current FCC regulations
Output Impedance: 50 Ohms
Stability: Matches SS-40 Receiver VXO Frequency Stability
Keying: Semi-QSK, limited by SS-40 mute recovery time
