This version of the EZKeyer II is designated the "i" version, and is designed to install Inside a rig's enclosure. Building on the very popular EZKeyer series, this new Morse code memory keyer is intended to be built into existing rigs which don't have a keyer - or integrated into new projects. New small printed circuit boards, and a new 8 pin processor are featured.

There are two versions, thru hole and SMT. The SMT version has been retired but the documentation is still found below.

The EZKeyer II-i has many of the features of a high end keyer while remaining very user friendly.   As in the previous EZKeyers, code generation is very smooth and accurate with no adaptation required of the operator.   Just plug in your paddle and send normally.   The commands are entered directly with the paddles rather than scrolling through menus, and speed changes are easily accomplished via direct command or quick change with the paddle.   With board dimensions of only 1" x 1.5" (thru hole) and 1"x.75" (SMT) this easy to build small footprint project will fit neatly inside most QRP rigs.   The current drain is so low that the keyers can be installed inside a portable rig with no fear that they will affect battery life.

Another noteworthy feature is the Stuck-key shutdown after 72 continuous DITs, DAHs, or messages.   Occaisionally a stuck paddle is heard on the air continuously sending for hours.   The "stuck paddle shutdown" feature will turn off the EasyKeyer 2-i and the rig its keying after 72 repetitions.   72 is the best number, don't you think?

Excellent instructions, and easy to make off board connections ensure success.

Note: The kit includes all the components required to build the keyer, but doesn't include an enclosure as did the other EZKeyers, as none is needed.

First time builders please note: There are two versions, one is an all through hole design, and the other is an SMD version, both are easy to build.   There are 14 parts on the thru hole version, and only 10 in the SMT, including the pcbs.   SMD assembly instructions are included in the manual.   Also see the video in the Documentation section, and the pictures on the Photopage.   This is an excellent kit for those wishing to try an SMT project.
