Cyclone 2N7000 Replacements
In the aluminum foil pouch you will find two Fairchild 2N7000 transistors. These are to be used at Q6 and Q15.
They have a stylized " f " printed on the flat face.
If you have SN 27 or lower, you do not have the Fairchilds. Pse contact Dan Reynolds, KB9JLO for replacements at the email link below.
There are two 2N7000s bagged with the other semiconductors, pse discard those. They arent useable in the Cyclone.
They are generic, non brand named parts that were substituted by our supplier (American btw) for the Fairchild's that we ordered.
We subsequently ordered Fairchilds from a different supplier and these are what are included in the foil pouch. The prototype rigs
were built and tested with Fairchild 2N7000 and the generic subs had lower quality specs which caused problems.
We're doing our best to provide high quality designs and kits with high quality parts, and will take the action neccessary to continue to do so.
