3 State Operating Event July 31, 2004 |
This special operating event took place at the geographical point where the three states of Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri meet. The conditions weren't that great so we didn't make many contacts, but it was fun getting out there and operating for a while. At least we didn't have any power line noise.

The survey hole in the old roadbed that marks the actual three state line junction point. |
| The N2UHC portable station. | Jay KØETC at his portable station. |
| Looking at the site from the roadway. | Dave KBØZKE brought this portable shelter. |
| Dave KBØZKE and Amanda, a prospective young ham. | Jay KØETC moved his station so that he could have one foot in Kansas, one foot in Missouri, and his rig in Oklahoma. |
The weather was fine, was a little warm but at least there was plenty of shade available on the south side of the site. Due to the poor propagation conditions, we shut down at 3 PM and left at 3:30.
